About Secret Diary of a Girl Who Should Be Working
Once upon a time, there was a girl who loved Tumblr very much. and she spent all her time on it. But the big bad IB exams were almost upon her. So she had to study. But it was so hard for her to step away from the world of television fandoms, and the ease of internet feminism, and the support of fellow atheists, and pictures of food, and gifs of couples making out. So a well meaning friend sneaked onto her laptop one day when she wasn't looking. And the sneaky but well meaning friend changed her password.
And the days wore on. And life dragged on. And the girl who loved Tumblr didn't get used to the absence. Sure she wrote a lot, in her diary, furtively about sex and love, feminism and atheism, and all things beautiful and nice. But there is something special about having an online diary, otherwise known as a blog (but only sometimes, only when you want it to be). So one day, she snuck back on.
You see, the thing with being completely upfront about who you are, and what make you so very...you is that people in reality find you, they see your soul, and they can never go back to seeing you as just that boring ol' gal in the hallways over yonder. Just once, she is trying to keep keep perfect, fantasy life away from reality. Is that so terrible?
So she tried to get a new start, as a new person, mostly. But keeping herself secret, so that reality would never, ever find her again.
